In case you don’t use this, I highly recommend turning Chrome’s energy saver mode on. My scrolling feels less smooth, and looks like there are reduced animations and background activity. It’s still a noticeable difference, almost like having a second wind for my battery.

The energy savings are drastic enough that Chrome’s becoming my default browser on my portable again. Honestly, I haven’t noticed any significant downsides. Websites still look great, and browsing feels snappy. For me, the battery boost far outweighs any minor trade-offs.

I used to switch browsers on my laptop depending on whether I was plugged in or not. Now, with energy saver mode, Chrome performs so well on battery that I don’t need to juggle anymore. It’s a game-changer for mobile productivity.

Give it a try and see what you think!
